SC Slams Ranveer Allahbadia: ‘Something very dirty in his mind that he vomited in the show’

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court harshly criticized YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia for using offensive language on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent show, stating that such behaviour has to be denounced. The apex court added, the podcaster had something “very dirty” in his mind which he “vomited” on the show.

According Bar and Bench, the court stated, “Such behaviour has to be condemned. Just because you are popular, you cannot take society for granted. Is there anyone on earth who would like this language? There is something very dirty in his mind which has been vomited. Why should we protect him”.

Ranveer Allahbadia had appealed to the Supreme Court against the FIRs filed against him for allegedly making offensive remarks on YouTube during the performance. Additionally, he wanted all FIRs to be combined.

The case was heard by a bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh.

The podcaster received relief from the court since it prevented his arrest.

Additionally, Ranveer Allahbadia was barred by the Supreme Court from hosting any more YouTube shows.

Justice Kant claimed that “the perverted mind” was represented in the comments.

He was quoted as saying by Live Law, “The words you have chosen, parents will be ashamed. The entire society will feel ashamed. The perverted mind. The perversion you and your henchmen have exhibited! We have a judicial system, bound by the rule of law. If there are threats (against Allahbadia), the law will take course”.

Court asks Allahbadia to submit passport

The Supreme Court ordered Allahbadia to submit his passport and not to leave the country without authorization.

Justice Kant continued, “If any other FIR on the same set of allegations is registered in Jaipur, arrest of the petitioner shall remain stayed. The petitioner shall deposit his passport at the Thane police station. He shall not leave the country without prior permission of this court”.
