‘Urban Naxals language; photo sessions in huts’: How PM Modi Hit Back At Rahul Gandhi In Parliament

In response to the Lok Sabha’s Motion of Thanks to President Droupadi Murmu’s Address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday unleashed a vicious attack on opposition leaders, including Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi. A few figures were accused by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using the “language of urban Naxals” and deceiving young people with false promises.

PM Modi stated, “It is unfortunate that today some people are speaking the language of urban Naxals openly, challenging the Indian state and declaring a fight against it. Those who speak this language neither understand the Constitution nor the unity of the nation”.

Rahul Gandhi had declared on January 15 that “we are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian State itself, because the BJP and RSS have taken over every single institution.”

At the Pan Bazar Police Station in Guwahati, a formal complaint was filed against him. Rahul Gandhi said this at the opening of the Congress Party’s new headquarters in Delhi on Kotla Road.

In the Lok Sabha, Modi attacked the Congress, claiming that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh had been denied constitutional rights for decades, which he described as a “injustice” to the people and the Constitution.

PM Modi asserted, “We live by the spirit of the Constitution, and that is why we make strong decisions. Our Constitution does not give the right to discriminate”.

Modi also charged opposition parties with deceiving young people by making empty promises. He declared, “We have been working continuously by keeping the future of youth in mind. But there are a few parties that are deceiving the youth. They promise allowances at the time of elections but do not fulfill those promises. These parties are ‘aapda’ on the future of youth”.

Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Modi remarked, “Those who entertain themselves by getting photo sessions done in huts of the poor will find the talk about the poor in Parliament boring”.

Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s response to the President’s speech, he was overheard describing it as “boring.”

In a further jab, Modi said, “Some leaders focus on jacuzzi and stylish showers while our focus is on providing water to every household,” referring to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal without mentioning him by name.

Modi asserted, highlighting the accomplishments of his government, “We did not give false slogans, but real development to people.”

While Congress has been talking about “Garibi Hatao” for decades, he said, his government has lifted 25 crore people out of poverty. “The one who has lived that kind of life knows what it means to have a house with a proper roof,” he stated.

“It takes passion, and some just don’t have it,” Modi asserted, claiming that not everyone can relate to the suffering of the impoverished. Ahead of the next general elections, Modi expressed confidence in his government’s work by thanking the people for allowing him to reply to the President’s Address in the Lok Sabha fourteen times.
