In a post on X (previously Twitter), chairman Gautam Adani said that the Adani Group would invest $10 billion in energy and infrastructure projects in the United States. He also sent congratulations to Donald Trump, the recently elected US president.
He wrote, “Congratulations to @realDonaldTrump”. “As the partnership between India and the United States deepens, the Adani Group is committed to leveraging its global expertise and invest $10 billion in US energy security and resilient infrastructure projects, aiming to create up to 15,000 jobs.”
Apart from the projects’ worth, Gautam Adani did not provide any other information, such as their duration or scope.
According to a Money Control report, the statement coincides with the American Petroleum Institute (API), an organization representing the US oil and gas industry, requesting that Donald Trump halt several of President Joe Biden’s policies that they say have jeopardized jobs and energy security. Trump, on the other hand, emphasized his position on the oil industry and pledged to boost output even more in his victory address with the catchphrase “Drill, baby, drill.”
According to a Reuters story, the Adani Group also intends to install 10 GW of hydropower projects abroad over the coming years. The business is seeking to construct such projects in Nepal, Bhutan, Kenya, Tanzania, the Philippines, and Vietnam, the report further stated.
Four visiting ambassadors from Germany, Denmark, Belgium, and the European Union were also hosted by Gautam Adani. He walked them over the group’s Gujarati renewable energy operations in detail.
Additionally, Adani Enterprises has partnered with EdgeConneX, a global data center operator based in the United States, to construct hyperscale data centers in India.
