According to Mumbai Traffic Police, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has reportedly received a death threat. A WhatsApp message from an unidentified number contains the threat, which states that Adityanath must leave his job within ten days or face severe repercussions. He will be “killed like Baba Siddique,” the letter forebodingly says, alluding to the recent shooting death of the former minister and NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader in Bandra last month.
On Saturday night, the Traffic Control Cell received the concerning communication. The threat’s origin is being investigated by authorities, who are also trying to find the sender.
Yogi Adityanath is expected to visit Maharashtra for the state assembly election campaign; therefore, the police are on high alert. Following this alarming notification, CM Adityanath’s security has been greatly heightened as a precaution.
A 24-year-old woman has been placed under arrest for reportedly threatening to kill the Uttar Pradesh’s CM on Sunday. The woman, Fatima Khan, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, lived with her family in the Ulhasnagar neighborhood of Maharashtra’s neighboring Thane district. The cops stated the woman is mentally unstable despite her qualifications.
The region is on edge due to threats of Salman Khan Baba Siddique’s murder on October 12, when he was shot by three attackers outside his son’s office while celebrating Dussehra.
Adityanath received the threat SMS a few days after Bollywood actor Salman Khan was threatened with ₹2 crore by an unidentified number. Notably, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had previously threatened Khan’s life. In April of this year, suspected gang members opened fire outside the actor’s Bandra residence. The actor’s protection was tightened after the Navi Mumbai police discovered a Bishnoi gang plot to assassinate Khan a few months ago.
