Mumbai police have heightened security for stand-up comedian and Bigg Boss Season 17 winner Munawar Faruqui after he was found on the hit list of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. Last month, an intelligence report revealed that the gang had attempted to assassinate Munawar during his visit to Delhi.
Authorities acted swiftly, providing Munawar Faruqui with police protection after discovering that gang members were tracking his movements. Reports indicate that the assailants took the same flight from Mumbai to Delhi and even booked rooms at the same hotel where Munawar was scheduled to stay for an event in September. Fortunately, due to the timely intervention by security agencies, Munawar was safely escorted away, thwarting the planned attack.
A senior police official confirmed that Munawar is protected but refrained from sharing further details to maintain security protocols. The gang is believed to harbor a grudge against Munawar due to his comedic take on specific religious topics. Authorities continue monitoring the situation and have assured that all necessary measures are in place to ensure his safety.
