Amala Paul Defends Outfit Choice Amid Criticism During Film Promotion at St. Albert’s College

Amala Paul and Asif Ali recently visited St. Albert’s College in Ernakulam, Kochi, to promote their upcoming film, “Level Cross.” Amala’s short outfit, with a plunging neckline, sparked a wave of criticism online, with many deeming it ‘inappropriate’ and ‘indecent.’ Addressing these comments at a press meeting, Amala emphasized her comfort and dismissed the criticism as a misrepresentation by the media.

Amala asserted that her choice of clothing was based on personal comfort and was suitable for the event. She suggested that the issue stemmed from how the cameras portrayed her outfit, not the outfit itself. Contrary to the adverse online reactions, Amala noted that the students at the college were comfortable with her attire and that she aimed to inspire confidence in young people regarding their dressing choices.

Despite recently giving birth to a baby boy, Amala is actively promoting “Level Cross,” which will be released this Friday. Her appearance at the college and the subsequent online backlash highlight ongoing debates about women’s clothing choices and public perception.
