Harbhajan Singh Blasts Comparison of MS Dhoni with Mohammad Rizwan

Recently, a Pakistan sports content creator stirred controversy by asking fans on social media whether Dhoni or Mohammad Rizwan was the better player. This comparison did not sit well with former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who strongly criticized the question. Harbhajan emphatically stated that Dhoni’s achievements and skills place him far ahead of Rizwan, even suggesting that Rizwan would agree.

MS Dhoni, revered as one of cricket’s greatest captains, continues to be celebrated for his leadership and power-hitting prowess. Dhoni’s legendary status was cemented by leading India to victories in the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy. The 43-year-old remains immensely popular, evidenced by the overwhelming number of Dhoni jerseys seen during IPL 2024.

Dhoni, who has yet to retire from the IPL, has led Chennai Super Kings to five titles. Although he handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad before the 2024 season, Dhoni still actively participated in field setups. The adoration for Dhoni was palpable last season, as described by Justin Langer. Langer recounted the extraordinary scenes of Dhoni’s fan following during matches, particularly noting the overwhelming presence of Dhoni jerseys in the stands.

The former Australian coach likened Dhoni’s hero worship in India to that of cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, highlighting the unique and passionate adulation that Dhoni commands among cricket fans.
