In Bharuch, Gujarat, a 35-year-old guy who was charged of raping a 70-year-old woman raped her once more. The accused is out on jail.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police PL Chaudhary, the crime was perpetrated by the accused, Shailesh Rathod, in the old woman’s cottage on a farm between December 15 and December 22.
He said, the accused also threatened the victim with dire consequences if she disclosed the matter.
Following the victim’s allegation, the police filed a new FIR at the Amod police station.
The man is absconding. To apprehend the accused, the police have established multiple teams from the crime branch and special operations division.
The accused raped the woman and was arrested 18 months ago. According to the police, earlier this year he was freed on bail.
Bharuch rape victim dies
In a related incidence, an 11-year-old girl was kidnapped and sexually assaulted in an industrial region of Bharuch, Gujarat, and she passed away at a government hospital on Monday night. For a week, the victim fought for their life.
According to hospital officials, the woman received primary care at the civil hospital in Ankleshwar, an industrial town in the Bharuch district, before being referred to SSG Hospital in Vadodara for significant internal injuries acquired during the sexual assault.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO), SSG Hospital, Dr Hitendra Chauhan said, “The girl suffered from a cardiac arrest at around 2 pm, after which her condition deteriorated. The patient was stabilised after treatment, but at around 5:15 pm, she suffered another cardiac arrest. Doctors provided her with immediate treatment, but she was declared dead at 6:15 pm”.
