BJP City President Sparks Controversy Over Development Fund Allocation

On Sunday, Dr. Vijay Shah, president of the BJP city unit, stirred controversy by suggesting that development funds should not be allocated to areas within the Raopura assembly constituency where the party received minimal votes.

Shah addressed the gathering during an event to felicitate newly elected MP Dr. Hemang Joshi, organized by BJP representatives from various assembly constituencies. He highlighted that certain booths in the Raopura segment provided negligible votes to the party, with some receiving votes only in single or double digits.

Shah emphasized that MLAs should prioritize their development efforts in areas where the party garnered significant support, suggesting that funds would be better utilized in these regions than in areas with low BJP vote counts. This stance has sparked a debate on the equitable distribution of development resources.
