Gujarat Scandal: Fake Doctor Busted Running Multi-Speciality Hospitals in Ahmedabad District

In recent developments from Gujarat, there has been a troubling rise in cases involving fake doctor and fraudulent institutions. The latest incident involves Mehul Chavda, who ran two multi-specialty hospitals without proper medical credentials in the Bavla and Moraiya regions of Ahmedabad district.

The District Health Department conducted a raid at Ananya Multi-Speciality Hospital in Bavla, where Chavda was allegedly posing as a doctor without any valid degree, endangering patients’ lives. During the raid, it was discovered that patient files lacked the doctor’s name and address. Consequently, the health department sealed the hospital.

Further investigations revealed that Chavda also operated another bogus multi-specialty hospital in Moraiya. Dr. Shailesh Parmar, the chief district health officer, led a team to raid the Moraiya General Hospital. However, Chavda and his accomplices had fled with hospital equipment before the raid took place. This incident underscores a significant concern as it marks a shift from fraudulent small clinics to entire multi-specialty hospitals operated by fake doctors, jeopardizing public health and exploiting patients for substantial financial gains.
