The Delhi assembly election is scheduled for February 5, with campaigning wrapping up on February 3. Results of the exit poll will be released after polling, which will run from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress are anticipated to compete in a three-way election.
On February 5, Delhi’s single-phase election will draw voters from all 70 constituencies.
These exit polls, which are conducted immediately after voters have cast their ballots, are frequently thought to produce inaccurate results for a number of reasons, including sample issues and dishonest respondents. Despite their flaws, they are essential to post-election debates and analysis.
Election Commission regulations
Strict guidelines about when these exit polls can be made public have been established by the Election Commission. “The Commission notifies the period between 7.00 am and 6.30 pm on 05.02.2025 (Wednesday) by which conducting and publishing or publicizing exit poll by means of the print or electronic media or dissemination in any other manner whatsoever, the result of any exit poll in connection with the aforesaid General and bye elections, shall be prohibited,” the Election Commission said in a notice released on February 3.
Where to check polls
Prominent polling firms like Axis My India, CVoter, IPSOS, Jan Ki Baat, and Today’s Chanakya are among those that will make forecasts. These organizations offer important insights, but they can’t necessarily promise outcomes.
