Coldplay arrived in India on Thursday and has already made a special announcement. In addition to promising a special treat for the approaching Republic Day, the well-known UK band will kick off their India tour on Saturday with Mumbai.
In a special Instagram video, Coldplay members announced that Disney+ Hotstar will stream their live performance in Ahmedabad on January 26. The lead vocalist Chris Martin said, “Namaste to all our friends in India. We are so happy to tell you that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad is streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar. And you can watch it from where you are in India. We hope you can join us. We are so excited to come to your beautiful country. And we hope you are well. Much love”.
About the India tour
On January 18, 19, and 21, the band will play three days at DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai. Shone, Elyanna, and Jasleen Royal will all perform live for the audience before Coldplay takes the stage.
Coldplay’s BookMyShow Live-organized Indian tour is far from over. On January 25 and 26, the band will also play at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The band will begin their Hong Kong trip in April following their India tour. They will also play in South Korea the same month.
The members of the British rock group Coldplay are guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer and percussionist Will Champion, manager Phil Harvey, and singer and pianist Chris Martin.

Special arrangements
In the face of spiking airfares between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Western Railway is planning to offer two special trains between the two cities on January 25 and 26. These trains are expected to alleviate the situation for individuals who wish to attend concerts of the well-known rock band Coldplay. On Thursday, an official stated that although the two trains are “winter specials” per the Railway Board’s direction, they are being run to alleviate the additional passenger traffic in anticipation of the Coldplay concerts scheduled for January 25 and 26 at Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
He said, “Both the trains will depart from Bandra Terminus at 6:15am and reach Ahmedabad at 2pm on January 25 and at 1pm on January 26. On the return leg, the trains will leave from Ahmedabad the next day at 1:40am and arrive at Bandra Terminus at 8:40am. The second train will depart on January 27 at 00:50 am and arrive here at 8:30am”. According to the official, these trains will stop in both directions at Borivali, Vapi, Udhna, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, and Gertapur. According to other officials, the concerts have caused airfares to rise between the city and Gujarat’s main city, and trains on the way are also packed.
