CII Gujarat Marks 78th Independence Day with Visionary Celebration

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Gujarat, celebrated the 78th Independence Day at the CII House in Ahmedabad with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Gokul Mahajan, IDES, and CEO of the Ahmedabad Cantonment, alongside notable figures such as Mr. Premraj Keshyep, Vice-Chairman of CII Gujarat State Council and Managing Director of KYB Conmat Pvt Ltd; Mr. Vinod Agrawal, Past Chairman of CII and Managing Director of Arunaya Organics Ltd; Mr. Rinish Sekhani, Director of Sekhani Group (Mangal Textiles); and Mr. Rajeev Misra, Director of CII Gujarat’s Western Region.

The celebration commenced with Mr. Mahajan and the CII Office Bearers hoisting the National Flag, followed by a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem. Adding to the patriotic spirit, the CII Gujarat State Office showcased a photo kiosk themed “Har Ghar Tiranga.”

Highlighting the event, the CII Gujarat Education Panel organized an inter-school elocution competition for students from classes 8th to 10th. The competition featured participants from six schools, including Adani Vidya Mandir, Delhi Public School (DPS) Bopal, Kalorex Future School, Ghatlodia, Pragati School Ahmedabad, Shivashish World School, and U.M. Bhagat School. The theme, “My Vision of India @2047,” saw students eloquently expressing their dreams for India’s future. The jury adjudicated the competition, which included esteemed members like Mr. Mahajan, Mr. Keshyep, Mr. Agrawal, Mr. Nishit Shah, Ms. Seema Saxena, and Mr. Mishra.

Ms. Shivanshi Paliwal of DPS Bopal secured the first prize with her inspiring vision of a progressive India. In his keynote address, Mr. Mahajan lauded CII Gujarat’s initiative, remarking, “This thoughtful celebration by CII Gujarat commemorates India’s 78th Independence Day. The visible progress is a testament to the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the dedication of our citizens.”

Mr. Keshyep praised the young participants, noting, “It is uplifting to see CII providing a platform for the next generation to carry forward our nation’s rich legacy. The insights shared by these students reflect a promising future.”

Mr. Agrawal added, “India has made remarkable strides over the past 78 years, but there’s still a long way to go. Our industries must scale up to boost exports, generate employment, and transform India into the world’s Golden Sparrow again.”

The event concluded with a collective pledge to continue working towards a brighter, more prosperous India, leaving attendees inspired and hopeful for the future.
