The Gujarat Titans, the former Indian Premier League champions, have begun their 2025 season preparations with a demanding training camp in Surat.

The team’s coaches and support personnel, as well as players including Anuj Rawat, Ishant Sharma, Jayant Yadav, Kumar Kushagra, Mahipal Lomror, and Arshad Khan, have joined the practices.
The Titans, who won the 2022 Indian Premier League, put together a formidable 25-man team during last year’s massive auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The explosive batsman Jos Buttler of England, the star pacer Mohammed Siraj of India, the versatile all-rounder Washington Sundar, and the South African pace ace Kagiso Rabada are among the notable arrivals.
The team is still confident even after losing its captain for the first two seasons, Hardik Pandya, to the Mumbai Indians prior to the 2024 campaign.
Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia, and Shahrukh Khan—the team’s nucleus of retained players—continue to give the squad a solid foundation.
The Gujarat Titans, who finished seventh in the previous season, are hoping to improve under the leadership of captain Shubman Gill and head coach Ashish Nehra. With 12 points from 14 games, the team finished the 2024 Indian Premier League with five victories, seven defeats, and two draws.
The Mumbai Indians, who acquired Pandya, had a miserable season and finished last in the standings.
The Gujarat Titans are committed to reclaiming their place among the league’s top clubs as the 2025 season draws near, combining seasoned players with bright new recruits.
