After Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra’s properties in relation to ongoing pornographic case, the businessman responded to the incident in social media. In a short statement, he requested for his wife’s name to be left out of it.
On Instagram, he posted a message requesting that people refrain from “repeatedly dragging my wife’s name into unrelated matters.” He wrote, “To whom it may concern, While the media seems to have a flair for drama, let’s set the record straight: I’m fully complying with the ongoing investigation that has been unfolding for the last four years. As for the claims of ‘associates’, ‘pornography’ and ‘money laundering’, let’s just say that no amount of sensationalism will cloud the truth, in the end, justice will prevail! A note to the media: It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries.!!! #ED”
What caused the ED to raid Raj-Shilpa’s home?
In a money laundering case related to the purported distribution of pornographic and adult videos, the Enforcement Directorate raided their premises on Friday, PTI said. Raj’s house and workplace were among the approximately fifteen sites seized in Mumbai and a few other cities in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, Raj was also questioned by the FBI at one of these sites.
In a statement following the raid, Shilpa’s lawyer asserted that she had “nothing to do with any offense.” According to media reports, my client Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra was raided by the Enforcement Directorate. Advocate Prashant Patil called the reports “misleading.” These are deceptive and untrue reports. As instructed, Mrs. Shilpa Shetty Kundra will not be raided by the Enforcement Directorate because she is not connected to any offense. But in this particular situation, an investigation is still going on about Mr. Raj Kundra, and he is helping the investigation to uncover the truth.
