According to current leads and victories, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on track to lead the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to a resounding victory in Maharashtra, putting the bloc in a position to win over 230+ seats. This is the party’s best-ever performance.
Shortly after voting started at 8 a.m., the NDA, also known as the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra, reached the majority mark in early trends and significantly outscored its opponent, MVA. According to current forecasts, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) Opposition alliance, which consists of the Congress and the breakaway Sena and NCP factions led by Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar, respectively, has been unable to close the deficit and is limited to 51 seats.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) under Ajit Pawar, and the Shiv Sena, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, make up the ruling Mahayuti alliance.
As of right now, the Mahayuti alliance has more than 210 seats, well ahead of the 145 required to establish a government. With 54 seats, the MVA is in the lead.

Voting in the Maharashtra election: On November 20, the Maharashtra Assembly’s 288 seats were up for election. With the lowest turnout in Mumbai City and the highest in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra saw a voter participation of 66.05 percent.
Key battle: The Congress and the breakaway Sena and NCP faction formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which faced off against the ruling Mahayuti alliance of chief minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar camp).
Majority mark in Maharashtra: With 288 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly, a party or coalition must receive 145 votes in order to form a government in the state.
Candidates fielded by parties: The Shiv Sena ran 81 seats, the BJP ran 149, and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP ran candidates in 59 seats. Shiv Sena (UBT) had 95 candidates, the Congress had 101, and the NCP (SP) had 86 in the opposition coalition.
