Three Accused Arrested In Baba Siddique Murder Case

Baba Siddique, NCP leader and a former minister of Maharashtra, was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Nirmal Nagar of Bandra East on Saturday, October 12. Following this murder, three accused have been arrested. The accused are Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana, Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh, and 28-year-old Praveen Lonkar, who, along with his brother Shubham Lonkar, recruited the shooters. The shooters have been identified as Gurmail Baljit Singh, Dharamraj Kashyap, and Shivkumar Gautam, who are absconding.

The Mumbai Police revealed that the shooters were paid Rs 50,000 each for the crime by the Lonkar brothers. Another name that is linked with this heinous murder case is  Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar. The murder plot of Siddique was done in Patiala Jail with the help of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and Akhtar was the key player in the murder plot. Mumbai court sent Pravin Lonkar to police custody on Monday, October 14, and cops searched for the other three accused in different parts of the country.

A Mumbai police official also mentions that the hired shooters were sent to Mumbai a month ago and took a shelter in Kurla from where they kept an eye on Siddique. The shooters fired four to five times from a 9mm pistol. He was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he later succumbed. The Mumbai Police have set up 15 teams and extended their search beyond Maharashtra in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Bihar for Gautam. Mumbai Police took three accused in custody and have yet to take another three.
